When Yotam Ottolenghi returned to Roundhouse Design to refresh the kitchen they had originally designed for him 13 years earlier, we were brought in to support the collaboration from start to finish.

With an established relationship between Roundhouse and Ottolenghi, the opportunity was to build on that history and bring the renewed partnership to life through the right creative, editorial and PR activity.

As the PR agency, we worked closely with both teams throughout the process, acting as the central point of contact and helping to coordinate the many moving parts behind the project. From managing communications and timelines to collating project information, imagery and supporting documentation, we ensured everyone had what they needed at each stage.

We also worked closely with the Ottolenghi team around the project, facilitating access, arranging information and imagery, managing approvals and helping shape the wider story around the collaboration.

The result was a considered refurbishment that demonstrated the longevity of Roundhouse's design. Rather than replacing the original kitchen, the project retained its core layout and cabinetry, with carefully considered updates including new appliances, reconfigured storage, stainless-steel worktops and a hand-painted splashback by Cecilie Maurud Barstad.

Alongside bringing the collaboration to life, the project generated significant editorial interest, including a full page feature in the Financial Times exploring Ottolenghi's kitchen and the thinking behind its refurbishment.

For us, the success of the project was in making the collaboration happen seamlessly: bringing together client, talent, creative and media, managing the detail behind the scenes and ensuring the story was communicated consistently at every stage.

A long-standing relationship, refreshed and brought to a new audience.
