Waterworks, the premier bath and kitchen company since 1978, proudly unveils its latest design innovation: an artisanal collection of six stone basins that blend centuries-old craftsmanship with modern functionality. Expertly carved from single blocks of hand-selected Italian stone, each basin is a sculptural statement designed to elevate the bathroom experience.
Waterworks brings the luxury of bespoke stonework into its core assortment, eliminating the complexity of working with external fabricators. The new collection includes six distinctive basin styles, ranging from classically inspired forms to contemporary silhouettes, all engineered with precision and a deep understanding of material integrity.
The collection is available in eight meticulously curated stone finishes: Fantastico, Bardiglio Dark, Cipollino Cremo, Nero Marquina, Paonazzo, Peperino Grigio, Portoro, and Prunella, chosen to reflect the quality and character of the broader Waterworks offering. Each stone was selected for its visual intrigue, rich veining, and versatility, offering designers and clients a palette that complements a wide range of interiors.

Each basin is available in two sizes and can be configured with either a pedestal base or a wall-mounted installation, providing flexibility for a variety of spaces. When a pedestal is selected, it is crafted from the same block of stone as the basin itself, ensuring seamless visual continuity. All basins are quarried and fabricated in Italy, first carved by machine and then meticulously hand-finished by master artisans, ensuring a unique tactile richness and depth in every piece.
A standout innovation in the collection is Waterworks’ engineered sculpted overflow: an integrated channel carved from the same block of stone, invisibly guiding excess water down into the drain system. Developed in-house, this feature exemplifies the brand’s commitment to elevating design through technical refinement.

“This stone collection is a reflection of our curiosity, experience, and enduring connection to artisanal tradition. Each piece is designed to bring distinctive character and a meaningful layer of craftsmanship to any design project,” says Waterworks CEO, Peter Sallick.
Extending its exploration of stone, Waterworks also introduces Centuria, a bold reinterpretation of its iconic Empire bathtub. Carved from a choice of seven solid Italian stones, this showpiece requires over 200 hours of expert craftsmanship to complete. Defined by its elegantly curved rim and hand-polished finish, Centuria embodies the Waterworks ethos of blending artistry with utility.
This debut marks a new chapter for Waterworks in stone innovation, where elegance meets engineering, and natural material becomes functional art.
Available in Waterworks showrooms and at waterworks.com from June 2025.
