During this year’s Milan Design Week, Artemest introduced a significant new direction for the brand with the debut of Artemest Collection by GACHOT.
Presented as an exclusive preview, the launch marks Artemest’s evolution from curator to creator—moving beyond sourcing exceptional Italian craftsmanship to developing its own original furniture collections in collaboration with leading international design studios.
The inaugural collection has been designed by GACHOT, led by Christine and John Gachot. Known for their refined, liveable approach to interiors, the studio brings a distinctly thoughtful perspective—balancing the clarity of New York modernism with the richness and depth of Italian artisanal tradition.
At its core, the collection is an exercise in restraint. Rather than pursuing statement or excess, the designs focus on material honesty, proportion and longevity. Natural woods, cast glass, leather and finely worked metals are used with precision, resulting in pieces that feel quietly confident and designed to endure across both residential and hospitality settings.
What sets this collection apart is the close collaboration between designer and maker. Produced by Artemest’s network of skilled Italian artisans, each piece reflects a shared commitment to craftsmanship—where centuries-old techniques are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. It’s a model that places equal value on design vision and artisanal expertise, reinforcing Artemest’s long-standing mission to champion Italy’s manufacturing heritage.
As part of a longer-term strategy, Artemest Collection will evolve annually, with a new design studio invited each year to contribute its own perspective. This rotating format not only keeps the collections dynamic, but also positions Artemest at the forefront of contemporary design dialogue—bridging international creative voices with Italy’s unrivalled craft tradition.
Unveiled at Palazzo Donizetti as part of the wider Fuorisalone programme, the collection was presented in an intimate setting that emphasised materiality, detail and the relationship between object and environment.
For PR and marketing professionals, the launch offers a clear example of brand evolution done well—expanding into product design while remaining anchored in a strong, authentic narrative. It also highlights the continued importance of collaboration and storytelling in building relevance within an increasingly competitive global design landscape.
With Artemest Collection by GACHOT, the brand signals not just a new product line, but the beginning of a longer-term legacy—one that places craftsmanship, design integrity and considered innovation firmly at its centre.
